  Obituaries - Mar. 15, 2008 HORNE, Joan Marilyn (Ramseyer) - Steve, Scott and Todd sadly announce the sudden passing of their mother, Joan Marilyn Horne, on March 1, 2008, at North York General Hospital after a short courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Jerry and Ruth Ramseyer of Kitchener, and wife to the late "Buddy" Horne. Loving sister to the late Bryon Ramseyer of Madison, Connecticut; sister-in-law, Nancy and their daughters, Shayla and Lauren (deceased). Caring mother-in-law to Nancy and proud Nana to Madison and Autumn. Cremation with private interment at Highland Memorial Gardens has been planned. A celebration of life and reception for family and friends will take place in Kitchener, to be announced. Joan and her family enjoyed many years at the family cottages in Wasaga Beach, Muskoka, Temagami and Diamond Lake in Bancroft. Her lifelong friends, Beverly Borg and the "Golden Girls" spent many special Saturdays together over the years. Donations to North York General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Rest in peace. You are cherished forever.
